The artwork is David McNamee's on his own account — Rolling Stone, 6 July 2025: "Another one of the edits he made, of Vance with a propeller hat and a massive lollipop, became the basis of that meme coin, PWEASE." The same piece names him as the person who started the Vance edits in October 2024, puts the token's peak market cap at roughly $60m, and quotes him: "People made millions", while he netted around $10,000 from minting his content onchain. He minted the image himself later, as Pwease OG on Zora/Base (0x157ce66e5806d05e82cf26e296cecac983eaea13, 17 June 2025), the row this one is paired to. This mint graduated on pump.fun 2 March 2025, over three months earlier; its pump.fun metadata credits x.com/TheMisterFrog, an account since suspended, not him, and its deployer 5ZJQSU7YHuDQqtUhL1z65UUuEnaJJ73J3YCBAo9uuTVD carried 92 mints and 23 migrations when checked on 7 September 2026 — a serial launcher, not the artist. Neither wallet linked to his Zora profile (0x58c5bcba9f880b4b53a35dcd42626b0e566dd73c, 0xf24b769c6cda2bb656cb3ef02fc1231e085f065f) deployed it. Its logo is a different JD Vance BabyFace edit — long curly hair on a plain blue background, no propeller beanie and no lollipop — checked by eye against the Solana and Zora images on 8 September 2026. It trades on the same meme and the same name: deployed on Ethereum 9 March 2025, one week after the Solana mint, behind the site pwease.republican and the telegram t.me/PWEASEOG, which is a name collision and not a link to the Zora token. Not listed on CoinGecko, so it is priced from DexScreener by contract. ⚠️ Who made this particular edit is not established. David McNamee is on record as the origin of the Vance BabyFace format (Rolling Stone, 6 July 2025) and of the beanie-and-lollipop image the Solana row uses, but this variant is not attributed to him or to anyone.
